6,060 steps yesterday.

Ended up being another "rest" day. We both felt it was better to not push as much as we have been and take another day off.

When the Fedex guy delivered some of my Chewy order on Friday he was looking at the cat house (he's a cat guy!), he saw some of the things I have set aside for the yard sale and said he wanted some of them!! Biggest one was the roll top desk! Problem is figuring out how to get it to him! My friend has a big truck, but the guy is up in town and a ways to go. I'll ask her, but no pressure, ultimately it is his problem to deal with. He is getting a deal if he can pick it up. Otherwise I know it will sell for more right here with no moving problems. It would just be nice to get it out of the way now!

2829 steps yesterday.  I am not getting back to where I want to be.  After a slow start I though I would be OK then I got a really bad pain in my foot, UGH.  I have had that before but I don't know what causes it, I think arthritis but usually it only lasts for a short time but this time it didn't go away.  Today I have an appointment with my new PCP so that will be interesting.

5,980 steps yesterday.

No garage work yesterday, my friend worked at home getting parts together for divider wall. Nothing much left here for me to do in garage. The cat stencils I ordered for the walls came yesterday so today's chore will get things to apply them. Yesterday 2 big Chewy boxes came so they needed to be unloaded and supplies/food brought inside. Pretty soon they will just go into the garage!! No more hauling around in the house!

3170 steps yesterday.  I was doing pretty good in the morning and managed to get by with just my cane at my doctors appointment and was able to leave the walker in my car but after I got home my knee was really giving me problems and I had to back off.

5,440 steps yesterday.

No garage work other than one little stencil to try it out. Had to go to several places in town to find minimal stencil supplies. Got some chalkboard paint which will be fun for soe of them. There is a Hobby Lobby in the mall by my dentist so will go there tomorrow to get fully supplied with paints and applicators. Not a place I would normally go these days, but new skills require new supplies...

Will try a couple more stencils today and that is about it.

Only 2750 steps yesterday.  I am not having a very good attempt at trying to get steps in and just not pushing it.  I am trying to do more without using my walker and doing well with that but not getting a lot of steps in.

Dentist appointment today. But I will be doing some shopping up in town so steps should be good, despite the drive and sitting at dentist.

I am probably not going to post here, at least for a while as I am just not able to make trying to get a step goal accomplished right now and I need to try to work on it for a while without worrying about pushing it too much. I am working on trying to get used to walking without using my walker and doing better but the number of steps is not up there.

Sorry you are still having problems Wally. I hope you can get your strength back and will feel like posting again. Just want to add, there is no pressure here for any given number of steps. I'm sorry if you feel that is the case. Every single step each of us is able to make is a good thing, be it 10 or 10,000 or anywhere in between. Take any "goals" out of your mind and do what you can no matter what the number is, I personally will be happy to see it!

As far as goals go, I haven't been very close to my own "goal" of 7,000 in longer than I can almost remember. But at least I am upright and doing what I can, that's what is important to me. I forget "worrying about a goal" so I post just to share what I am able to do, whatever the number.

Not trying to be contrary or argumentative or anything, but by that idea, maybe I should stop posting my bg's because I am nowhere near a good number for what ever reason??

7,209 steps yesterday. Well, there it is, haven't seen that number in a while. But I am paying today.I had things to do that needed doing while I was in town....

Wally, I hope you aren't mad at me, I meant no disrespect, I will just miss your voice here.

No I am certainly not mad at you Barbara and I know we have always said that it doesn't matter what you do and goals are just personal but it is honestly kind of depressing to have to post such dismal numbers when I want to do so much more and just can't.
I am going to give it a rest for now and hope to get back to something I am more comfortable with.

6,907 steps yesterday.

Quick run to PO to pick up mail Rx, then dash into grocery store. Worked in garage painting divider wall and some stenciling. Chores inside in evening...it all added up to more than I expected. I was surprised this morning when I looked at the count!

LOL Wally, just because I said I haven't been close to my goal of 7,000 the other day, now the Universe is making me a liar!  ~ cat ~

Yesterday I was in Delhi and after finishing my work, we had a few hours to kill before the flight back. So we went to a mall and collected almost 12k steps in the bargain. And then today, a Sunday, the toll on the body was beginning to tell. I remembered the saying, "Use it or lose it". So I decided to "Use it"
Hopped on to the treadmill and just did a nominal 2 km walk with moderate inclines thrown in. Got 150 cal in return, which implies a 3 km walk on a plain and about 4440 steps. Plus I never have the phone on me when at home and there is a lot of walking and climbing during the day, especially since mom's not doing too well and her room is a flight up.

Yes, skb, I discovered there is something to be said for mall walking when I was early for a dentist appointment. Amazing how the steps add up there. So sorry to hear your mom is not doing well. I will keep her in my prayers.

Today will probably be fairly high even with the driving, to deliver the desk. We have several stores we need to visit while in town. I will probably pay tomorrow!!
