BG at other times

I start my day close to 100 mg/dl (+/- 5) and then I workout for an hour. This raises my BG to about 135 for some time. After break fast I'm at work the rest of the day. By lunchtime I'm usually in the low 80s and that's where it stays for the rest of the day AND the major part of night with food pushing me up 10-20 points.

I've stopped testing extensively as this is my pattern unless something changes. Even so, I check every evening before dinner. In 2016, I've touched 71 once, but mostly I'm at 83. Mind you, no drugs are involved.

118  at 2 hours after lunch. I had practically the same lunch I had yesterday, but yesterday I was 106. I know, I know, it is practically the same number. Just saying.  ~sry~

Haven't really checked at other times, but I know I should. He'll be home tomorrow, I'll check and let ya'll know how those numbers are.

So what other times should I check? I read that page about eat to your meter, and I dont think I can test that much since the strips are so expensive. But I could check a few more times than I do now. I just forget to do it, even sometimes in the morning I forget. I am not very organized.

For people beginning to take charge of their BG it's best to test at all times. You could read this article to give you more insight. To save on costs, you could alternate the tests each day. Meaning, one day test before a meal, on another day test only at the 1 hr and yet another day, check at 2 hr after the meal. Ideally the meals should be the same or close enough for you to have comparable numbers.
