106 this morning.  We had a high of 77° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 80° today so really nice but cooling down starting tomorrow and through the weekend but in the mid 60s and, ugh, windy.
Eye appointment went quite well yesterday.  This optometrist does a thorough exam and it is so much better than the exam I got from the Walmart optometrist.  She knows that I am diabetic and pays attention to any sign of problems from that but all came out fine so I feel good about that.  I did order new glasses and yes they are more expensive here but the quality is so much better.   
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

128 this cloudy drizzly morning.

Yesterday's high was 56° with drizzly rain on and off. Today's forecast is 52°/34° cloudy with scattered rain showers. Not helping what needs to be done in cat home in garage... I am getting anxious to have it finished and get cats used to it! This weather pattern is supposed to last throgh the week end then some sunny days coming.

102 this morning.  We had a high of 80° yesterday!  Now there is a small system coming to the West coast and a small chance of rain in the Los Angeles area but for here it is just going to be cooler and windy.  It should warm back up by the weekend.

144 this wet morning. Kind of slipped off the dietary wagon...

Yesterday's high was 50° with drizzle most of the morning then in evening. Some sun mid day.
Today's forecast looks about the same, 53°/34° cloudy with scattered showers turning to snow showers over night.

It looks like a while until the weather will warm up enough to paint in the garage, I had hoped to have gotten further by now.

106 this morning. We had a high of 66° yesterday and it was really windy with gusts up to 40 MPH.  It's supposed to be a bit cooler today and the wind is supposed to be here again but so far it has not been too bad. It is supposed to start warming back up starting tomorrow and we may be in the 80s next week. 

Yeah it happens Barbara but there is always tomorrow to get back on the wagon.  Hope your weather gets better.

119 this wet morning. Rain/snow mix....

Yesterday's high was 54° with drizzle during day turning to rain in the evening. Today's forecast about the same 45°/33° with a mix of rain showers and snow flurries. Supposedly it will beging drying out some tomorrow leading to a fairly decent week next week... I hope so, I really want to get the garage done so the kitties can go there to get out of the weather! Then we have to figure out an entrance that the cats can access but not the skunks and raccoons!!

111 this morning.  We had a high of 55°yesterday and it was windy but not nearly as bad as Thursday and calm today.  It is supposed to be warmer and dry for the next few days so back to Spring.
That sounds like a real challenge to figure out how to give access to the cats and not skunks and raccoons.  Skunks maybe but raccoons seem to be able to figure out anything.  Hope you come up with something.

So true Wally! I have learned in this process that skunks can't jump. The owner of the TNR has his own cat cabin in his yard for his ferals and put a short picket fence around the door and the skunks can't jump over it. I don't remember how high it is, I will check. He says the size of the hole to fit a cat, is too small for a raccoon. Again I have to see just what he means. I haven't seen his "cabin" in person. I'll but it about the skunks, but not so much about the raccoons...

The LED shop lights are installed and look great! I'll see if I can get a night time shot after dark or will get one tomorrow. We have both been looking at cat "trees" on Amazon and can't come up with a favorite/favorites. More "shopping" this evening! ~ cat ~

I went to pick up my taxes and they told me I don't have to even file!! I apparently zeroed out on everything so I could file that and pay H&R Block $169, or just not file at all and take my paperwork home. If on the weird chance Uncle Sam would come after me which is unlikely she said, they would have my return on file and just send it off to the IRS, then I'd pay them. Guess which I chose?? LOL more money for a cat tree!! I'm a little nervous about it...I can't believe they'd lie to me though.

121 this damp morning.

46° was the high yesterday, again drizzly but not as much as Friday and periods of strong wind. Today's forecast is 48°/29° cloudy with periods of rain/snow mix. Supposed to be fair amount of snow in the mountains though.

My friend was going to build the divider wall at home where she has her big tools, but her hubby is using all the building space as he is a wood worker and has a big job. She is thinking of moving her construction here so that may be on the agenda for the next few days. Problem is the big tools, ie drill press, etc., can't be moved.  It is just to damp/humid to do any painting at this point. Getting anxious for this to be done and kitties all settled...

That is the plan when we get to that point. For a while there will be no exit as we go through the TNR process. Fixed cats will go in the "house" until all are caught. Then we will release them all and put the door in and hope they won't be too traumatized from being shut up in there for a while. Their food will be inside so I doubt that will be a problem for long!

134 this morning. I did have a small amount of beans with dinner for the protein, guess it was just a bit too much.

50° was the high yesterday, a bit of everything, cloudy, sun, drizzle, andeven a few snow flakes. Today's weather may be about the same. Forecast is 53°/38° mostly cloudy with periods of morning rain/snow. Not much of either though.

Collect garbage and take to road, some tidying in the garage in prep for painting when it warms up enough. Looks to be a quiet day.... so far...

91 this morning. We had a high of 67° yesterday and it is warming up now and should be around 70° today and getting into the 80s by mid week.  That is where I like it.
Today is eclipse day and here in Southern California we will only see a partial but it is going to be about 50% and it is sunny and clear.  I have eclipse glasses from a telescope dealer I used to buy from so I will get out to see what I can.  The peak will be around 11:00 here so it will be fun to get a glimpse.

Sadly it is so cloudy here we probably won't see much if any of the eclipse. In the best of weather we are only in the 33.1% obscuration range. I don't have the glasses and probably won't enve look, I'll wait to see what they show on TV since the chances of a viewing are pretty slim as it is...

140 this morning, not quite sure where that came from...

52° was the high yesterday a very cloudy day, so there was no sighting of the eclipse at all here sadly.  But I saw some amazing photos online! Awesome!

Today's forecast is 52°/31°, mostly cloudy with rain showers until mid day and some wind. Not a nice day! I kind of feel like going back to bed and sleeping some more, BUT there are all sorts of kitties outside that have very different ideas right now!
