home made chilly garlic Chinese sauce.

i love Chinese food...so i keep a small jar of home made chilly garlic sauce. the bottled ones available in the market has a lot of carb contain .


15 dried whole chilli, soaked for 2 hours and de-seed and crushed ...........the short cut is to use chilli falkes ,a small cup,and soak in the water for 30 minutes and crushed.

2 head garlic finally chopped.

inch of fresh ginger , fine chopped

2 table spoon soya sauce

30 to 40 ml oil

20 ml vinegar.

salt and pepper for taste

heat up the oil ,fry the garlic and ginger to very light colour , add the crushed chilli ,vinegar , soya , salt and pepper...............bring it to nice boil for 3 to 5 minutes.

cool and filled up in a small jar.


so at times I stir fry chicken , or prawns , or even vegetables in this sauce.

This sounds really YUM!!  I use Sambal Oelek (ground chili paste) a lot, the label says 0 carbs but I always count 1 per tbsp.  This mix sounds even better.  I'm just leaving to go grocery shopping, so I am adding some things to my list!! :)

let me know how it turns out , just last night we had  chicken and capsicum stir fry in the sauce and it didn't take me 10 minutes to prepare our dinner.

i love this lifestyle of food,,,,,,,,,,,,,,less time consuming.

This is really good!!  And so easy to make!.  I used flakes that had some seeds so it it pretty spicy, but I like it that way!
